An Exhibition of Hallet & Davis Pianos will.be given at Washing ton, North Carolina, Main street, next door to Brown's Drug Store, for one week, beginning (Tuesday, Novemger 12, and closing Satur day. November 16, at 9 :30 p. m. This exhibition is given if or ad vertising purposes. The admission will be free, and you ara cordial ly invited to attend. The exhibition will be in the hands of factory experts "and spe cial entertainment is arranged for all each afternoon and evening. The display will include one each of the different styles of the Hallet & Davis, Conway and Well man Pianos, and will be the most complete exhibition ever given by any piano company. The object of the exhibition is to thoroughly introduce the dif ferent, style pianos manufactured the Hallet & Davis Piano Compa ny, to explain to -you ihow the by the Hallet & Davis Piano Compa to show you and tell lyou things about it that you can see and un derstand for yourself. At a meeting of the Berlin Med- ibal Society Dr. Friedrick F.Fried- mann announced the discovery of what he believed to be a practical cure for every form of tuberculo sis. He exhibited cured, patients, t nd declared that he had treated 82 cases by his method with in variable improvement, and almost in variably cmplate cures. What You Expected to avin Yours for STnTTTTTr TH ii 1 1 1 1 OF THE CHRISTIAN CHURCH Will Convene 'at FarmvUle, N. C, Mon I day' Nov. 18th. Tjhe 67th annual convention of the! Diciples of Christ will con vene at Farmville, N. C, on Mon day, Nov. the 18th, for four days session. AH the agencies of the church will be represented on ithe program. American missions will be represented by Grant K. Lewis, of Cincinnati, Ohio. The foreign missionary work will be represen ted by AT Mac Lean, who has had 30years experience in this work. The Bible school session will oc cupy a prominent place on the program. Miss Lillie Faris, of Cincinnati, Ohio, an experienced primary tea cher will be present to give daily instruction in this department.' Robert M. Hopkins, , American Supt., will be a prominent figure in the convention. The work of church extension will be presented by Geo. W. Muck ley, of Kansas City,-Missouri, who has given years of labor ito this particular work. He has seen the church extension fund grow from a few thousand dollars to more than a million. Prominent men of the state will also have part in the iprogram : B. P. Smith, Kinston; Richard Bag by, Wilson ; C. Manley Morton, Winston-Salem: W. O. Win field, R. V. Hope, Washington; D. W. Ar nold, Goldsboro; H C. Bo wen, of Wilmington: J. C. Caldwell, Wil son; and H. C. Boblitt, of Rocky Mount. Some of the prominent business men of the state who are -to take part are: J. W. Hines, of Rocky Mount; Geo. Hackney, Sr., of Wil son ; E. A. Moy, of .Greenville ; Dr. R. H. Jones, of Winston-Salem. A large delegation is expected to be present to take part in the deliberation. The Diciples of Christ are a very rapidly growing body .of people numbering . more than a million and a half. This has been their greatest year in North Carolina. Great meetings have been held in the following places in the state this year: Spray, N. C, where about 300 tpok their stand for Christ. Reidsville, a meeting was held and a large number made the good confession, and from this number a church was organized. A meeting at Ay den was held with more than a hundred addi tions, while the one at Rober3on ville resulted with about 63 addi tions. Many other good meetings have been held throughout the state.
